The CARE Health Leaders program is a 9-month program for New Haven, Bridgeport, and Hartford residents (adults 18+). During workshop sessions, participants learn about health equity and neighborhood health, community-level health interventions, the social determinants of health, project planning, leadership development and community organizing. Health Leaders then work together in small groups to develop a grassroots community project to address a health issue in their community.
